It is not easy to describe what I feel about fashion: it is something beyond passion, or love.
I was born in a family of weavers and seamstresses, I still remember the first gift from my grandma – a sketchbook.
Continuing my passion, I studied Textile Design during high school at the Art Institute, and later graduated with a Fashion Design and Clothing Construction degree at SMR – Fashion School. SMR is a fashion university near Florence, my beloved city, land of some of the most influential brand in the world, like Salvatore Ferragamo, Gucci, Emilio Pucci and many others, the city where geniuses like Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo Buonarroti, Filippo Brunelleschi used to work.
What I mostly love of the fashion world are trend forecasting, styling and research: I love the ‘latest’, and keeping updated to what’s new in fashion. I also think that a good appeal, a good “way to dress” is a very important key of the personal wellness: if you feel good, comfortable and beautiful in what you’re wearing, people will note it, and your approach to society will be far better. That’s why I work as a stylist, personal shopper and consultant.
I worked at “Lorenzo de’Medici” Institute as a professor, and started my career at “L.A.B.A.” as a professor for Chinese students and lab assistants. In Vietnam I developed collections and styling for a local brand, working on fabrics combination, tech packs and sizes development, and later as a developer for a leather pattern developer for some of the most famous pret-a-porter brands.
Currently, I am a stylist and fashion expert for a luxury experiences agency based in all Europe, working on shopping experiences and fashion styling; I also develop trend-books and moodboards for some Italian brands and yarn manufacturers.
When people ask me the meaning of fashion to me, my answer is: “Fashion in the salt of my life: without it, it wouldn’t be so tasty!”.
