Fashion is an expression of who we are. Majority of us may have at least 10 different styles in our wardrobe ready to be shown-off depending on our mood or feeling. Fashion can be creative but extremely fast-moving, due to the influence of many celebrities and micro-influencers endorsed to show off thousands of styles.
Although, our dream is to have many changeable outfits and styles at our disposal, many of us know we simply cannot afford it. However, we have identified four ways to switch your style without blowing the budget or spending countless hours’ window shopping! Additionally, all suggestions are sustainable alternatives to purchasing brand-new garments.

1. Reinvent and Repurpose
Take a few minutes to explore your wardrobe and discover your old clothes, then get creative. Discover videos on YouTube and start reinventing your clothes! For instance, recreate those old jeans and turn them into shorts or that old work blouse, you can tie the front up and create a classic vintage look. There are so many styles you can look into.
2. Swap and Borrow
If you need a new outfit to attend a birthday bash or for date night, always ask your friends and family first. Create a swapping event or you can even borrow items with your loved ones.
3. Mix and Match
We are all so used to relying on previous outfits that are at the back of our wardrobe and sometimes adopt a certain look. But don’t be afraid to look at current trends and then recreate those looks with the clothes you already have!
4. Recycle and Resell
Last but not least, always explore thrifting shops, boutiques and reselling platforms after you’ve routed through your wardrobe. As reselling has continued to grow in the last 5 years, you can now find great outfits for an affordable price and when you want to change your style resell it.
